Turquoise Mountain
Turquoise Mountain, an international NGO established by HRH The Prince of Wales, strives to revive and protect traditional crafts and cultural heritage. As part of their launch in Myanmar, Turquoise Mountain produced an exhibition to showcase the first restoration project in the heart of the historic downtown area of Yangon.
After restoration, a booklet and exhibition was created to showcase the work as well as provide the stories of the inhabitants. The dual language booklet used vibrant photos and first person narrative to document the project, which trained over 250 people in international conservation standards, from traditional lime plaster and architectural carpentry to brickwork and roofing. As the lead designer on the project, my work included developing the project brand guidelines and identity, exhibition design and logistics, original illustrations, final layout and print oversight.
